シリアとキムチ。
Was it nukes? 核なのか？
Last week, a North Korean freighter docked in a Syrian port and unloaded. Two days later, Israeli F15's and F16s flew across the Mediterranian Sea, were escorted across Turkey (who hates Israel) and escorted further into Syria by the Turks where the Israelis bombed a known Syrian nuclear production plant.
シリアの港に北朝鮮の荷物が届いて荷揚げされ、二日後にイスラエル空軍のF15とF16が地中海沿いにトルコの空軍機にエスコートされて（トルコ政府は反イスラエルだが）シリアに侵入して核物質製造施設とされる建物を空爆した。
I've heard many radio hosts that routinely have "inside sources" in Israel, where some of the world's loudest braggarts live. None are talking. Hammas-- a Syrian mouthpiece, isn't complaining. Nor is Fatah. Nor the Syrian Government itself even acknowledging a raid at all. Iran is quiet. Russia is quiet. The UN isn't saying anything. No Islamic or Arabic saber-rattling. We only know about it because North Korea complained.
トーク・ラジオーのホストは何時もイスラエルの「内部情報」とかについてしゃべっているのに、今回はそういう話を聞かない。ふむ、シリアの広報機関もおとなしいし、ファタファも静かだ。シリア政府は空爆そのものを認めていない。イランも沈黙している。ロシアも沈黙している。イスラム諸国やアラブ諸国も騒ぎ立てていない。北朝鮮だけが公式に抗議や非難をしている。
What happened? Israeli Leader Ehoud Olmert is normally the quintessential Pacifist.
He'd rather give up than fight. Something huge must have been afoot. I'm guessing they took out a nuke......Don't mess with Israel!
一体何が起こったのだろう？Olmert首相は通常は典型的な平和主義者なので、戦闘を諦める傾向がある。（その首相が先制攻撃を命じたのだから）何か大事が起こっているのだ。
私は、イスラエルが核施設を空爆して破壊したと思う。イスラエルに喧嘩を売るな！

As for the North Korean protest: I'm surprised that no one has realized what happened.（北朝鮮が烈しく抗議しているワケがわからん人がいるみたいだが）
It's obvious, when you think about it: North Korea is upset because North Korean nationals there: expert chefs and agricultural specialists, and a large quantity of radioactive Kimchi.（簡単なことだ。農業研究所なのだから北朝鮮の農業専門家とか料理長がいたに違いない。無論、多量の放射性キムチがあったことだろう）
After all the trouble China is having with lead-coated toys and lethal pharmaceuticals, North Korea is understandably hesitant to admit that the fermented cabbage they were shipping to Syria was radioactive.
（中国の有毒玩具とか有毒薬品の事件の後では、北朝鮮は彼らがシリアに輸出した多量のキムチが放射性であるとは認めたくないのだと思われ）
